Tank Defense

Goal

You drive a small tank on a top-down map. In the middle of the bottom edge sits a blue crystal — your base. Each stage sends 20 enemy tanks out of three gates at the top (up to 4 at a time). Destroy all 20 to clear the stage. If the crystal is hit, or you run out of tanks, the game is over.

There are 8 hand-made stages that unlock as you win, plus an Endless mode with random maps that get harder every wave. Play alone or with a friend on the same device.

Controls

• Computer, 1 player: W A S D or the arrow keys to drive, Space, F, J or K to fire (hold to keep firing).
• Computer, 2 players: player 1 drives with W A S D and fires with F (or Space); player 2 drives with the arrows and fires with K (or J, L).
• P or Esc pauses. Tanks move in 4 directions and line up with the grid when they turn, so slipping through a tank-wide gap is easy.
• Phone: 4-way pad on the left, Fire button on the right. Slide your thumb across the pad to change direction without lifting it. In 2-player mode each player gets a pad (yellow is player 1, green is player 2) — turn the phone sideways so the pads sit on both sides of the screen.

Terrain

• Bricks: break piece by piece; every shot chips off half a block.
• Steel: normal shots bounce off. Only a fully upgraded gun (3 stars) can break steel.
• Water: tanks cannot cross it, but bullets fly over it.
• Bushes: drive straight through; they hide every tank underneath, yours included.
• Ice: your tank keeps sliding for a moment after you let go.

Enemies

• Basic tank (grey): slow and easy — 100 points.
• Fast tank (light blue): very quick — 200 points.
• Rapid-fire tank (purple): fast bullets, fires often — 300 points.
• Armored tank: takes 4 hits and changes color each time — 400 points.

Power-ups

An enemy that flashes red drops a power-up somewhere on the map when hit. Drive over it to collect it (+500 points):

• ⭐ Star: upgrades your gun — 1 star gives faster bullets, 2 stars two shots in a row, 3 stars break steel.
• 🛡 Shield: invincible for about 10 seconds.
• 💣 Grenade: destroys every enemy currently on the map.
• ⏱ Clock: freezes all enemies for 10 seconds.
• 🧱 Shovel: builds a steel wall around the base for a while; it blinks just before it wears off.
• 🚜 Tank: one extra life.

Tips

• Don't wander too far from the base: enemies love to rush down and shoot the crystal.
• Your bullets cancel enemy bullets — shoot back when one is coming at you.
• In 2-player mode, watch your aim: hitting your teammate freezes them for a few seconds (no life lost).
• Losing a tank also loses its gun upgrades, so take care of a 3-star tank.
