How to play Bouncing Balls
Aim and fire a volley of balls at numbered bricks.
Goal
Fire a whole volley of balls to smash the numbered bricks. The number on each brick is how many hits it takes to break, and its colour changes with the size of the number. After every turn all the bricks move down one row and a new row appears at the top, numbered with the current turn — now and then one brick is doubled. In return you get one extra ball each turn, and the floating +1 rings give you even more when a ball touches them. If a brick reaches the bottom the game is over; the number of turns you survive is your score.
Controls
- Mouse: move or drag over the board to aim along the dotted line, click or release to fire. Release below the bottom line to cancel the shot.
- Keyboard: ← → (or A, D) to turn the aim, Space or ↑ to fire, F for ×2 speed, ↓ to recall the balls, P or Esc to pause.
- Touch: put your finger on the board and drag towards where you want to shoot, then lift it to fire. Drag below the bottom line and release to cancel.
The first ball to land on the floor sets the starting point for the next turn. When the balls keep bouncing for a while, the Speed ×2 button appears to fast-forward, and Recall brings every ball home at once so you can start the next turn.
Tips
- Bank shots off the side walls to sneak balls above the bricks: once up there they bounce between the ceiling and the bricks and break a lot for free.
- Clear the lowest bricks first, since they are closest to the bottom; big numbers high up can wait.
- Don’t skip the +1 rings — more balls means you last longer, especially in later turns when the numbers get huge.
- Watch where your first ball lands: starting next to a gap makes it easier to slip balls through on the next turn.
