How to play Block Stack
Fill rows to clear them.
Goal
Blocks made of four squares fall one at a time. Move and rotate them to complete a horizontal row — full rows disappear and earn points. Clearing several rows at once is worth far more: four rows together give 800 points multiplied by your level. Every 10 rows you go up a level and the blocks fall faster. The game ends when a new block has no room to appear.
Controls
- Keyboard: ← → to move, ↑ or X to rotate clockwise, Z to rotate counter-clockwise, ↓ to soft drop, Space to hard drop, C or Shift to hold, P or Esc to pause.
- Touch: use the buttons below the board; keep ← → pressed to slide continuously. Tapping the board also rotates.
Tips
- Watch the “Next” box to plan where the following block will go.
- Keep one column open along the edge and wait for the long straight block to clear four rows.
- Use “Hold” to save an awkward block for later.
- The faint shadow shows exactly where the block will land.
